About the bakery
At Smögen’s bakery, the ovens are lit at four o’clock every morning. Long fermentation times, organic flour, and a strong belief that bread should taste heavenly are at the heart of everything we bake.

On Smögen since 1931
The Hållölimpan and Smögenrågen have been baked at Skärets Bakery for more than 30 years and remain favourites among our guests to this day.
Skärets Bakery has been part of Smögen since 1931. Much has changed over the years, and in 2007 the bakery moved from the historic Skärethuset on the pier to the Old Town Square in Smögen. As of 2025, Skärets Bakery has been renamed Smögens Bageri.
Today, the bakery is run under new management through a collaboration between Skäret and Beccasin. Everything is still baked on a small scale at our bakery on Smögen Square, where you will also find our new bread shop located right next to the bakery.
